Stylema® R: the natural evolution of species

Brembo is expanding its range of brake calipers with Stylema® R, the latest innovation for the super sports bikes of tomorrow.

Stylema® R, with its sculptural, compact and ventilated shape, is light and high performance. The caliper has the technical characteristics and design of a product destined to set new standards.

As the R version of the well-known Stylema® caliper, its name underlines and references the world of racing.

TECHNOLOGY

Stylema® R boasts exceptional lever stroke stability – particularly noticeable in heavy use conditions – which guarantees exceptionally consistent performance, even on the track.

The new configuration of its internal components is highlighted by the special, racing-derived pistons. These have radial ventilation holes that help to reduce the temperature of the brake fluid: another factor that enhances performance stability on the track. These features, combined with an air outlet in the central bridge, enhance the flow of air around the pads and make the caliper perfectly compatible with any dynamic air intake.

DESIGN

The balance of the design comes from the need to lighten caliper mass, which has been reduced by removing every superfluous gram. Precise, essential lines create geometric surfaces that are consistent with the latest generation of sport bikes on which the new Stylema® R caliper will be installed.

The two, raised ribs are structural design elements that make the product dynamic and visually solid, whilst also providing an ideal spot for the Brembo logo. The air intake, a central element that joins the upper rib on its two edges, makes the design of the caliper sharper and bolder. In addition, the two milled sections in contrasting colors differentiate it from the previous version, further underlining its high-performance DNA.

The distinctive characteristics of the product convey its inherent ‘style’, which blends speed, performance, pure emotion and technology – perfectly complementing the features of the super sports bikes that it will equip.
