At Goodwood, on the occasion of the presentation of the new Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign, Brembo has introduced a new red for its caliper for the first time, a colour exclusively created for this car.
This particular shade of red is synonymous with high performance and helps to highlight the characteristics of this vehicle fitted with Brembo calipers.
Applied for the first time 25 years ago, the use of colour reinforces the distinctive character of supercars such as the new Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign. In this prototype the progressive design is also highlighted by more open alloy wheels that reveal more of the braking system and its components.
In addition, from a technical point of view, the Brembo caliper fitted on the new GT-R50 by Italdesign is a top performance component, using a front 6 piston monobloc caliper and a 2-piece floating drilled disc 390x3.6 mm; and a rear 4 piston monobloc caliper and a 2-piece floating drilled disc 380x30mm. Both brake discs are racing inspired.
Brembo, before anyone else in the world, gave the product aesthetic value through attention to the “shape” and colour elements, something that had been unthinkable up to that time.
By doing so, Brembo changed the status of braking components, redefining their functionality and actually creating the conditions for a new need: the need to have an excellent and immediately recognisable caliper on special cars such as the Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign.
